Leadership Lunch Club begins Nov. 7

The CEO Speaker Series will feature four inspiring regional leaders who will share how they’ve applied key principles from acclaimed leadership and business books to their leadership role and in their organizations.

The series kicks off Nov. 7 with Michael DeBruyn, president of Great Lakes Stainless, Inc. speaking on the topic “Everyday Innovation for Uncommon Success” at the Traverse City Country Club.

This is the third year for the series which has been getting rave reviews from a growing number of participants. Attendance has averaged more than 90 business and nonprofit professionals. The Leadership Lunch Club offers busy business and nonprofit organization leaders in the Grand Traverse area an opportunity to learn cutting edge leadership and business practices. Attendees enjoy a special lunch in the unique atmosphere of the Traverse City Country Club while networking with community leaders.

The 2014-15 schedule includes:

• Nov. 7: Michael De Bruyn, president of Great Lakes Stainless, Inc.

• Feb. 13: Matt Davis, CEO of Armor Express

• April 10: Lou Anna K. Simon, president of Michigan State University

• June 12: Neal Ronquist, publisher of the Traverse City Record-Eagle

On Nov. 7, doors open at 11:15 a.m., with lunch served at 11:30 a.m. The program begins at 11:50 a.m. The registration deadline is Nov. 5. For more details or to register, visit www.leadershiplunchclub.com. Tickets are $35 per event, and include lunch and the speaker. This year, the LLC is introducing the Series Membership. The one-time payment of $133 includes tickets to all four events at a 10-percent discount and preferred seating.

Featured books can be purchased at the event and at Horizon Books. The Leadership Lunch Club also donates featured books to the Traverse Area District Library and the NMC Oosterlin Library to broaden the impact of this leadership development opportunity to the entire community.
