Your philanthropy has to be based on your values and your situation.

Consider special and future needs when considering a gift.

Inform your family on any philanthropic giving not only to pass on your legacy philosophy of giving to them but also why you are giving in such a way.

Remember your spouse/partner, children, and your faith community in your estate plan.

Make sure you review your estate plan at least every three to five years or when a significant event or life change happens to you.


Consider a bequest or a beneficiary designation to any charity you supported on a regular basis during your life. They will miss your donations to help implement their mission.
